Keeping in Touch Expect the Extraordinary

Dear Patriot Families,

We are off to a great start to the school year! It has been wonderful welcoming our students back, and seeing their smiling faces each morning, ready to learn and begin their day.

Meet the Teacher & Open House

We were excited to see 73% of our families attend Meet the Teacher! Thank you to everyone who was able to join us. We hope to see an even greater percentage of our families at our upcoming Open House on Tuesday, September 1, from 3:30–5:30 p.m.

Our PTA will have a table set up at Open House with information about how you can get involved. If you have not yet joined the PTA, we encourage you to consider doing so! The PTA sponsors many wonderful student and family events throughout the year and provides valuable support to our teachers and school.

The PTA is already planning some events for October, so please feel free to reach out if you are interested in volunteering. And remember—you can join the PTA without volunteering for events! We understand that families have work, childcare, and other daytime obligations, and we appreciate your support in whatever way works best for your family.

Morning Arrival
We also want to thank everyone for your patience, flexibility, and feedback as we implemented some changes to our morning arrival procedures this year. We are happy to report that things are running smoothly! On Friday, our car line was finished by 8:17 a.m.—a wonderful improvement!

Thank you for working with us as we continue to make arrival as safe and efficient as possible for everyone. We truly appreciate your partnership.

Positive Patriots Behavior Program

Thank you as well for your support of our new Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative, the Positive Patriots Behavior Program. We are excited to build a positive school culture where students know what is expected of them and are recognized for making great choices.

Our three school-wide expectations are:

• Be Safe
• Be Respectful
• Be Responsible

We will continue reinforcing these expectations throughout the school day and celebrating our students when they demonstrate what it means to be a Positive Patriot!

Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with learning, growth, and many opportunities for our students and families to connect.
